He knows

Good afternoon VCA family! Do you know what is gonna to happen next week? This Summer? Maybe we should check in with our 100 best friends on FB and Instagram, they for sure know what's gonna happen. And if you're not convinced that your "friends" are in the know, check with the news outlets. They know! Ok. Maybe a little bit of sarcasm there, but I'm preparing Sunday's message from Jeremiah 29 and can't help but share some of it early. The Lord says: "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, future, hope, not evil." He knows. The Lord who promises to always be with us knows. I don't know. You don't know. Your friends don't know. And we don't need to know. But it's sure great to know the One who knows! My own thoughts and feelings about the future are inconsistent at best. I really need to adjust my thinking to His. Here are some of the ways I try to stay adjusted:

Consume God's Word as much or more than any other "foods." (Very doable)

Don't bring next week's unknowns into your now. (Your family will thank you)

After praying about something, choose to be at peace. (Challenging but possible)

Let's continue to be outward looking. Call someone. Check in with people.

The Lord is looking for people He can trust with valuable Kingdom responsibility. If you are in need or know of someone in need, please let us know. Call the church and leave a message if Debbie does not answer. Jen and I love you and pray for you every day! PR
